From Snow to Sick...

My poor baby! He is so sick and I am sure that I am next. You know how it goes, kid gets sick.. mom gets sick! Ya, I am so looking forward to it. He has been a real trooper and made it to the bathroom all but twice.. ( the steam cleaner was out plenty last night, but I still have orange cheeto stain down my hallway!) I just feel so bad for him, so of course I took this flattering picture of him! At least we have a funny story out of it.. Here goes.... He woke up yesterday from a nap ( that should have been my clue he was not feeling well!) and went to the playroom to sit with Jon. He sits down with him, and begins to tell him " there is a transformer stuck in my mouth.. get it out.." Jon of course is like "what??" He looks in his mouth and says no, you are just dreaming.. well he was right he had something in there, but not a transformer.. So needless to say he begins throwing up on Jon.. ( oh course to which Jon panics, god forbid he get thrown up on!) we get them both showered and cleaned up and spent the rest of the night and today on clean up patrol!! Good times around here, but like I said good story too!

SNOW DAY!!

We woke up to see SNOW!! It happens to be a no school day today so we were already planning on laying low, but even better to find white stuff outside. The kids love it and as you can see had their share of snow ball fights and snow hitting kids in the face. They have decided that snow tastes really good! Oh, to be a child again. This was a real treat for the kids as they had to spend yesterday watching a ton of basketball. Between Tatum's game.. ( we are so proud of her.. we have a shooting guard in the making!) and my girls game and then we headed off to Jon's boys games, the poor kids needed a treat! Besides the Red Robin they had for their treat for being SOOOO good yesterday! So we will have plenty of fun in the snow today and lots of hot chocolate, what could be better!

You know your life is crazy when....???

ok.. we all know I tend to over extend myself. At this point I am coaching 1 basketball team, starting another, working on a school auction I will not even be attending, trying to get things in order for our trip this weekend, oh, and taking care of myself and family.. That being said.. is it bad that I cannot get my children's names right?? I think I am giving Carson a complex. Poor boy, for the last two days I have been calling him Logan and then.. rattling off some list of names. I only thought my mom did that! Oh no, we do turn into our parents. Today was the worst.. We were leaving the gym and getting in the car, of course running late to get Logan, so I am trying to hurry Carsie along. He is being very slow getting into his seat and of course has to buckle himself. Well, I just do not have time for this so I say.. "Just get in your seat and sit down Logan...." What??? He looks at me and says... " I not Logan.. I Carson." I Look at him and say "Yes, baby.. I know who you are, Mommy is sorry!" So we get in the car and hurry off to the preschool. Well, as we are driving He is not to happy with the movie choice we have in.. can't blame him, who wants to watch strawberry shortcake.. So he is yelling at me to change it.. over and over and over.. Directing me to put on McQueen.. (CARS) Does he know that I am a crazed, mad woman, trying to make the light so that I can pick up his brother on time?? you know the brother I keep referring to him as??? Apparently not, because he continues to yell at me. I then turn to him and say.. Tatum.. I mean Logan.. I mean Jon.. I then stop as I have listed everyone except him. He is looking at me as if I am the craziest lady alive and again informs me.. I AM CARSON.. not even shasie, or carsie as we all refer to him as, but Carson.. this kid means business. I turn to him and say "yes, you are Carson and I love you.."
Oh, my poor child.. I do know his name.. just had a few moments lately where I am a little pre-occupied.. or shall I say CRAZY!! Oh, the life of a over extended mom!!

A new year and what it will hold..

Alrighty... it was been about a month and half since I last posted.. ( I know my only post!) But it is a new year and we are trying new things.. All of us! Jon and I both agree that resolutions never work and we never stick to them, so we did not make them this year...at least verbally! I myself am trying to be more organized in my home and clean. ( mom you are seeing those words!!) I have organized every drawer, closet, bin and bucket when own.. I think the people at target and Linen's and Things must think I am insane!! ( at the Target people are used to me!!) My pantry is beautiful as is each closet in my home. I have never been one for making beds, especially if no one is going to see them.. but YES, I am making beds daily and even staying on top of the laundry. My kids hate this as they are now having to clean the playroom daily and put their clothes away daily.. vs.. when it gets done. But it is good for them and for me. I feel so much calmer, and a little less stressed. It is nice to sit down at night and feel like everything is done! Now on a much more personal note, I am hoping to get back to dating.. my husband of course! We are both coaching this season and finding time for us is getting hard, as I want to make sure the kids have family time when we can, over Jon and I having date nights! I know horrible, but I think it is important. At this point at date night consists of one of us coming and supporting the other at a basketball game!! Hey, at least it is a cheap date. Anyways, we have been doing such great job at the family time.. ( we are catching up on all the Harry Potter movies.. who knew they were so good..) We have been doing lots of Dance Dance revolution, and lots of cuddling. I love it, so now I want to make sure Jon and I have our time.. So we are headed to Sacramento next weekend to visit friends and celebrate birthday's. Oh, did I mention I will be coaching as well.?? Oh, well at least we are together, right? Things are going well with all the kids.. Tatum's eyes are doing ok at this point and she is doing great in school.. Logan is not anemic and is actually eating more these days!!! And Carson has yet to get sick this winter.. although I heard the wheezing today so will do a treatment tonight, but all in all things with them are Great. Tatum starts basketball next weekend, so we should have funny stories from that to report soon. Logan is awaiting his chance to play sports but for now is happy with preschool, swim lessons and oh.. did I mention his new girlfriend?? Her name is Julie and she is adorable. They are so cute and the stories they tell each other are hilarious. It is funny to see him go thru this phase as Tatum was quite the boy chaser at this age and has no interest in it now. It is just to cute to see his little face light up when he talks about her. oh.. young love! So it looks like the new year is going to fun, organized and full of lots of laughs.
