I am so proud.. not just because I get a vaca!!!

I will briefly brag about my dear husband and then move on.. He has given me the best 30th birthday present and it was truly what I wanted but did not want to ask! we are going to Hawaii!! Our trip is almost all paid for since it is his company trip. He won his president's council again this year, which is a huge accomplishment. They take the top 1% of the company ( managers, sales reps.. so on) So they take the top 50 sales reps in the nation and he was top 12!! I am so proud. So needless to say our trip with the company is the 15-19 so we are leaving on the 13th and I could not be more happy! I am disappointed as we will miss Logan's birthday but we are doing his party the weekend before we leave. I am having a hard time with this, but everyone has told me to get over it. Our original plan was to take the kids and a sitter, but my mom said we needed to get away and have some alone time.. so off we go. So the kids will spend the week with grandma and grandpa huggies ( that is what the kids call them) and they will have a special night out with Logan on his birthday.

Another reason to be proud.. Conferences were today and Tatum did fabulous. She is doing beyond our expectations and is really enjoying school. She loves both her homeroom teacher and her reading teacher. They have both been great and she truly is learning so much. I could not be more proud of her achievements and progress..

Last but not least.. Carson has given up the binki!! Thank goodness. Last week it was starting to give him a rash so I took it away and told him we would get new ones. The first night was miserable, nap time the next day was hard, but by the next evening he was over it. we went to the beach for the weekend and he forgot all about it. Once we got home he found 2 of them and I was worried but he was such a big boy that he took them downstairs and threw them in the garage.. and told me " no more binki's,they are icky!" one battle down, now we start potty training. Hopefully it will be as easy as Tatum and Logan were.. I have a feeling it will not be!

And not to be left out.. I am proud of Logan too for his emotional growth over the last few months. those that know him well know he is very sensitive.. Must be a middle child thing, but he is really growing up and becoming a boy. It make me so sad to see my little man and know he will be in school next year..

I feel so blessed to have such a great family, all of them with their own quarks and personalities. I am always so excited to see what each day brings us!

Nice Weather brings Nice Mommy..

I am never big for walking in the winter months ( unlike my crazy friend Lisa!) but once the sun comes out to play, little Angie wants to as well. So, I took the kids out for a great walk to feed the ducks and then back up the otherside of our hill. I had both boys in the wagon, thank goodness Logan wanted to walk the second half cause man I don't know that we would have made it. Poor Tatum rode her bike and she was exhausted on the way home. Bless her heart she walked her bike all the way up the hill at a very slow but steady pace. We got home and to our delight Daddy was here. So we pulled all the toys out and the baseball/ softball gear and had some fun. The kids are really enjoying the weather and most of the neighbors are coming out to play as well. This is the time of year we love our house. Great neighbors, great location means fun times in the sun. Here are some pics from today.

Kids Sports...

Only one word can describe Tatum's basketball games... PAINFUL! We love going and cheering them on and seeing her grow as an athlete and person, but it is pure rat ball and everyone has the mentality of " I got the ball and I am not passing it to you" Now correct me if I am wrong, but isn't that the concept of basketball? Hey isn't that the concept of most team sports? Well, the basic point of sports at this age is to learn to love the game and have fun, and as long as she is enjoying her time and having fun I can stand the hour of pain as long as she steps off the floor with a smile of pure enjoyment. Win or lose, I am happy if she is!

PS.. I have one of those children who doesn't want to pass the ball.. she told me the boys won't pass to her so why should she pass to them? Hmm.. I am sensing a pattern.. She did manage to score 8 points today! You Can see her shooting in the second ( you can see her wrist with the red band) and third pictures!!

I am grateful..

Ok.. in response to my post below, I am grateful for what I have and got just would have liked something that took effort on his part and that everytime I saw it I knew it was from his heart! Jon has a tendency to buy things I have told him I am going to buy.. I just wanted him to have to think about. I have been asking for a mother's ring or necklace for 2 years or even all the kids handprints done in that stone stuff! I would have much prefered this type of stuff over my clothes.. I may be high maintence but I have a very soft side and senitment, effort and heart mean the world to me! I know how lucky I am to have him and his love of buying things for me, and I am grateful and do very much appreciate it.. so I am sorry if the last post sounded awful!

Valentine's Day

What a day. I was sick most of the day. Made it to the gym in the morning and it took all I had in me to make it thru Marsha's awesome spin class, but I did it. I thne tried to run but felt like I has gonna hurl then got paged to childcare ( Carson was sad.. ) so we went home and into bed! Jon got home around 2 pm and I had already given him his gift, so he brought home mine. Now, do not get me wrong.. I LOVE MY HUSBAND AND HIS GIFTS, but isn't v-day about the sentiment of doing something for someone they would not do for themselves or something from the heart. Bless his heart he bought me clothes.. and Lots of them. He got me a new juicy terry sweatsuit.. the cropped pants and short bubble sleeve jacket.. a juicy dress.. ( white eyelet.. so cute!) and another jacket.. Now I love my gifts but we all know I would go buy this all on my own!! But it is the thought that counts and I love my stuff. So after the whole present unvieling we were off to Faye's office to drop off her v-day stuff and then we suprised the kids and took them to Players! They loved it as did we. We had a blast and the kids really enjoyed the bowling. They were hilarious to watch and very respectful of one another and the people around them. They thought that it was great that they could bowl and eat dinner at the same time. A great way to spend v-day with the family. We all look forward to going back real soon..

A day with Logan...

Today was a great day.. I had 2 great helpers, who were real troopers and helped get all the final touches done for v-day.. We will bw celebrating tommorrow with the kids and Friday by ourselves. V-day is special to us as we got engaged on this day.. So with all that said I got to spend the morning with Logan in his class. I am there about 2 a month, but today with thier party and he was so excited to have me there. We played legos and made valentines for Daddy, Carson and Tatum. They got to make mini pizza's today and Logan made sure mommy got a bite. He recieved tons of Candy and lots of cards, he was so excited to look at them all and share them with us. It was nice to have the morning with him alone as we never get that one on one time. We then came home and made v-day presents and cookies for friends and Family.. Then piled in the car to deliver some. ( had to take extra cookies cause it was killing the kids to see the cookies and not be able to eat them!!!) A very fun and busy day!
