Hawaii

Our trip to Maui was wonderful. We met a ton of new friends and a lot of old ones. We had such a great time until the end. We stayed in Kaanapali for 2 nights and really got to see the night life and enjoy that then stayed at the Ritz in Kapalu for 4 nights. The time away was much needed and we are back to reality. It hit once we got to the airport yesterday and had a 5 hr delay. Yep... we were supposed to leave at 3 and did not leave until 8! We got in this morning at 4:30 and my dad was such a trooper to come and pick us up. So here are some pics.. I do not have any of us surfing but we did do that and it was amazing. I got up all 5 times and really enjoyed it. The under tow was really strong that day so 5 runs was enough for me. Jon did a few more and it was fun to see him in his element at "home"! We also had a private concert where Lifehouse preformed. They were great and sounded amazing. Cool guys! Ok.. pics!!
Ps.. Sarah thank you so much for the dress and shoes. I was a total hit that night and everyone asked about both.. Thanks for sharing

Pics from our wonderful birthday day!!

We had a great time bowling with all our friends and then went to dinner with my parents. Carson got the chocolate molten cake and finished off himself. We each got a few bites, but he really was not into sharing. He told us " it is my birthday, my cake!" He refered to it as his volcano since his favorite dessert is at the rainforset cafe and is a huge volcano.. We had a great day and the kids had fun! We will have more pics after Logan's bday.. Grandma and Grandpa are going to take him for a special dinner and day since we will be gone and then I will post those pics.

April showers brings FOOTBALL??...

Today was Logan's first football game. My little man is such a big boy. We were not to sure how he would do, for those of you who know Logan well enough you know he hates to be wet, muddy, dirty.. anything on him period.. So this morning when he woke up I told him it was football day to plan on getting really wet and muddy. He looked at me with a Little panic, but assured me he would be fine. When we got to practice ( they practice for an hour then play a full game) it was dry so I was thinking we would luck out.. Not so lucky. By the time the game rolled around it was pouring and we were all drenched. I was just waiting for my man to freak out, but he never did. He was awesome. He played defense today and did great. Jon got to help coach he they both enjoyed that. He got his first flag off and was thrilled. Jon and I were pleasantly surprised how quickly he picked up the gist of the game. He was so happy to have something to call his own and us watch and cheer him on, instead of his big sister. He did great and we are so proud of him. I cannot wait to see what the rest of the season brings. He is one of the youngest of the team and I was amazed to see some of the huge kids on the other teams.. but he could care less.. He just wants to play!

Happy Easter

We spent the day at home making cookies and hanging out. We then made the rounds.. First to my parents, the Easter bunny visited the kids there and we had dinner.. My mom and I went for a long long much needed walk. It was very enjoyable and I loved spending the time with her. We then went to Jon's moms and visited Leslie ( Jon's sis) and Brandon ( husband) and sorted thru all the wonderful stuff she had gotten at her shower yesterday. My mom and I spent the day cleaning up the shower stuff so that my mother in law could enjoy the shower with Les and my sister in Law Julie would have a clean house when all was said and done, since it was Hannah's ( our niece) 13 th birthday. So needless to say I did not see much of the present opening but I was ok with that cause I knew I would see it sooner or later. Can't wait for baby Olin to get here.. 2 weeks and counting!! Hope everyone had a great Easter like us!

Horton hears a who???

So with so school being out this past Thursday and Friday, I told the kids if there were good their reward would be the movies.. So they were actually good for those two days, with a few tiffs, nothing big! SO Friday afternoon I took them to the new Dr. Seuss movie. It was cute and all 3 kids sat thru the entire movie. Carson got a little restless but I just gave him food and he was fine. We were total rebels and snuck in food. Have u seen how expensive it is to go to the movies?? I cost me and 2 kids ( Carson is free) $22 at matinee time.. SO needless to say I snuck 2 bottles of water in my purse with some granola bars, m and m's and PB crackers.. Tatum snuck in 2 more waters in her purse.. Then my big girl made the decision I was so proud of. She really wanted skittles and I said I was not buying them. She asked if she could use her own money, I said "of course, but then you need to share with your brothers" So she agreed. She walked up to the counter and got a big box of skittles and $3.75 later we have more candy. I felt a little bad that I was making her pay for it, but I guess it was a lesson.. And I mean a lesson for both of us. She whips out her wallet to pay and has two 20's, a 5 and a ton of ones and change.. Are you kidding me? the tooth fairy has been to generous! I asked where she got all her money and she told me she finds it on the ground.. OK, i think she has been hoarding it for awhile but I definitely did not feel bad anymore. Anyways, great day for us and good movie. I enjoyed spending time with the kids by myself and I am amazed how fast they are growing each day!

I am so proud.. not just because I get a vaca!!!

I will briefly brag about my dear husband and then move on.. He has given me the best 30th birthday present and it was truly what I wanted but did not want to ask! we are going to Hawaii!! Our trip is almost all paid for since it is his company trip. He won his president's council again this year, which is a huge accomplishment. They take the top 1% of the company ( managers, sales reps.. so on) So they take the top 50 sales reps in the nation and he was top 12!! I am so proud. So needless to say our trip with the company is the 15-19 so we are leaving on the 13th and I could not be more happy! I am disappointed as we will miss Logan's birthday but we are doing his party the weekend before we leave. I am having a hard time with this, but everyone has told me to get over it. Our original plan was to take the kids and a sitter, but my mom said we needed to get away and have some alone time.. so off we go. So the kids will spend the week with grandma and grandpa huggies ( that is what the kids call them) and they will have a special night out with Logan on his birthday.

Another reason to be proud.. Conferences were today and Tatum did fabulous. She is doing beyond our expectations and is really enjoying school. She loves both her homeroom teacher and her reading teacher. They have both been great and she truly is learning so much. I could not be more proud of her achievements and progress..

Last but not least.. Carson has given up the binki!! Thank goodness. Last week it was starting to give him a rash so I took it away and told him we would get new ones. The first night was miserable, nap time the next day was hard, but by the next evening he was over it. we went to the beach for the weekend and he forgot all about it. Once we got home he found 2 of them and I was worried but he was such a big boy that he took them downstairs and threw them in the garage.. and told me " no more binki's,they are icky!" one battle down, now we start potty training. Hopefully it will be as easy as Tatum and Logan were.. I have a feeling it will not be!

And not to be left out.. I am proud of Logan too for his emotional growth over the last few months. those that know him well know he is very sensitive.. Must be a middle child thing, but he is really growing up and becoming a boy. It make me so sad to see my little man and know he will be in school next year..

I feel so blessed to have such a great family, all of them with their own quarks and personalities. I am always so excited to see what each day brings us!
